Love, Peace, Joyful

Here are some ATC cards featuring some of my birdies that I painted with ColourArte's Twinkling H20's!  These are my Twinkling H20's collection that I arranged by color and I love using them!

Here are the colors that I used to paint the ATC's

Here are the completed ATC's that I created using the ATC's
and then stamping some words on them.

Here is the finished book:

Where Have I Been...and other Goodness!!

Well I can't believe how much time has passed since I last blogged...let's just say that I had a close call and I've been recouperating.  What happened you say?  Well I'll tell you...around the last time I wrote here I had suffered from something that can happen to diabetics but it's not really mentioned...well I guess it is but it's mentioned with the long list of things so you kind of disassociate yourself from it...well at least I did.  It happens when your blood sugars go from being too high to too low...and you suffer from memory loss...not permanently but it sure has taken a long time for me to get most of it back.  It's been a scary and long road...

At first I didn't know what to do and I didn't go to the Doctor until about a week later...it was a mess and I didn't know just how bad it was. Long story short, it took months to get myself to a somewhat "normal".  I'm still struggling with my sugars but it's not as bad...let's just say that I need to take it serious;  losing my memory was pretty bad and I'm glad I got it back...it's a scary thought to think of it being gone forever!

Now that my memory is back I can plan things, things like painting!  Now I still was trying and I did pretty good...not my best but good...thank you ColourArte for your patience!  This next painting is my latest creation for ColourArte...I think it's pretty good!

The Little Owl

Hello Everyone!  I hope everyone is doing fine!  I have something to share with you - I'm going to be showing a new little owl!  Well that's after I draw it - but first we gotta get some color on the white!
I put on some color first:
Then I get the colors toned down:
Then I draw the little owl...
*Getting ready to paint...
*Gotta add the brown to the owl:
*Then I will add the yellow...
*Then I'll add the black & white...

A Life Lived To The Fullest...

I am writing this as a tribute to my cousin Stephanie...who's Funeral Services where earlier today or should I say Friday morning...and my heart is so saddened by her loss...more because she was battling cancer for about a year...and I so wanted to see her conquer it.  She was my age...and last Friday was the last time I seen her alive but I could tell...as much as I prayed and prayed for a miracle healing...I had to accept that she was already leaving us...and she taught me a lot that last day...

She taught me not to take my family for granted...to keep giving and to keep reaching out to others...even when I am not feeling well...to not allow time to steal away from my relationships...to live with no regrets...so I began as soon as I could...I am telling all my family how much I love them...that I want to see more of them...not to let so much time pass...I want to live fully...I want to leave a legacy of love and joy like my Grandmothers...to inspire others like Stephanie...

She was a warrior...full of courage and strength...battling and enduring to cling to her life for her family...but when it's our time to leave...when we've done all that we were meant to do in this world then it is time for us to go...and I find peace knowing that she is with our Lord and no longer suffering but so joyful.

I am so moved by her amazing battle of courage that I will be creating a series of pieces similar like this one here to capture her example of living life to the fullest...this was my first one as I was keeping hope for her miracle lifted up in prayer...

and I sang with all my heart for her today with the choir for her services...these are some of the words of the last song that are still in my mind for her:  "and he will raise you up on eagle's wings, bear you on the breath of dawn, make you to shine like the sun, and hold you in the palm of his hand"

Love you my dear cousin Stephanie...you lived a wonderful life and I am so happy I got to be a part of it...
